Highlights of the Past Decade (2001-1989)

ROP program opened in Newark.
On-site Health Clinic opened in Newark.
Addictions Management Program implemented in Newark.

Grand Opening of Newark Crisis/Community Center (October).

Legal Services program initiated in Atlantic City.
In partnership with Prudential, job training program established in Newark.
On-site Health Clinic opened in Atlantic City.
Groundbreaking Ceremony for 45 bed Crisis/Community Center in Newark.

Culinary Arts Training program initiated in Atlantic City.
Legal Services Program initiated in Newark.

27 bed Crisis/Community Service Center opened in Atlantic City.

Parenting Program for Teen Parents implemented in Atlantic City (to present day).

AIDS/HIV Prevention program implemented in Atlantic City (to present day).

Rights of Passage program opened in Atlantic City (to present day).

CHAMPS (CH Addictions Management Program) implemented in Atlantic City (to present day).

In partnership with the State of New Jersey, Street Outreach Research Demonstration Project conducted to determine the number of youths on the streets affected by this disease (till 1994).
Storefront locations established in 1989 became fully operational in Newark and Atlantic City. Street Outreach continues at both sites.
