Covenant House Addictions Management Program (CHAMP)

CHAMP is a multi-phase, comprehensive, highly structured, therapeutic program that provides assessment, education, treatment, transition and aftercare support services to youth with chemical dependency.

The primary goal of CHAMP is to provide a holistic substance abuse treatment program which meets the unique needs presented by the homeless and runaway youth who seek services at Covenant House and to assist these youth in achieving and maintaining chemically free lifestyles.

CHAMP is individualized and holistic in approach. Every area of the participant's life is included in the therapeutic process, which includes a wide range of treatment services designed to address the varied needs of the individual youth.

  • Aftercare Planning
  • Transitional Housing

CHAMP provides our youth with the means to address chemical addictions, gain recovery and attain a stable living situation. Counselors in both the Atlantic City and Newark sites are New Jersey State Certified Drug and Alcohol Counselors and hold Masters of Social Work Degrees.
