Fine Wine & Dine
This high-class event brings together
small groups of people at a fine restaurant who share
the same love of good food and wine in support of Covenant
House New Jersey. The
evening features a five-course tasting menu, which includes
the dessert, with wine pairings rated at least 90 and above. If
you enjoy savoring a delicious meal and a glass of wine,
this is the event for you!
Our first Fine Wine & Dine will be held at on Wednesday,
February 27, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. at Latour Restaurant, 6
East Ridgewood Avenue, Ridgewood, NJ 07450. A representative
of Patrick & Son Super Cellars in Ridgewood will lead
the group through the wine pairings. Tickets are $250.00
per person and $500.00 per couple.

A Night of Broadway Stars
“Spectacular!” “Unforgettable!” “The
best fundraiser I’ve ever attended!” “A
phenomenal event!” These are just some of the
rave reviews from A Night of Broadway Stars. This
is a totally unique entertainment experience for Broadway
buffs and novices alike, featuring award-winning performers
in a review of favorite show tunes. Recent shows
featured music from Phantom of the Opera, Chicago,
The Producers and Wicked and an incredible
cast that included Charles Bergell (Les Miserables),
Cady Huffman (Tony Award—The Producers),
Capathia Jenkins (Dreamgirls), and the legendary
Donna McKechnie (Tony Award—A Chorus Line). The
evening will begin at 6:30 p.m. with a pre-show reception
(with cocktails and hearty hors d’oeuvres) and a
silent auction followed by a VIP “Meet the Stars” dessert
reception. The show itself is produced and led by
renowned composer and lyricist Neil Berg—whose credits
include Grumpy Old Men and The Prince and
the Pauper—and will feature 20 solo and group
performances.
Corporate sponsorship opportunities are still available
and include tickets to the show, entrance into the pre-
and post-show receptions, signage at the event, as well
as a page in the ad journal in three key target markets: Philadelphia,
North Jersey and Atlantic City. For more information

Covenant House Invitational Golf
Outing
The Covenant House Golf Invitational
is held the last Monday in June at the Hackensack Golf
Club in Oradell, New Jersey and helps support both Covenant
House New Jersey and Covenant House New York. This outing gives the
Covenant House family a chance to relax and truly celebrate
the selfless dedication of our friends who help keep the
doors of our programs open for so many good kids in desperate
need. There are ample sponsorship opportunities but
they sell out fast, so be sure to register early. There
is a morning (7:00 a.m.) and afternoon (12:30 p.m.) shotgun
scramble tee off. Continental breakfast is offered
at 6:00 a.m. and lunch begins at 11:00 a.m. Golf
awards are presented for first and second place team scores,
individual longest drive, straightest drive and closest
to the pin. You can also play our “You Can’t
Lose Hole” where you can win twice your bet, up to
$50. The day culminates with cocktails and dinner
buffet beginning at 5:30 p.m. and there is a silent auction
during the buffet, which includes sports memorabilia and
other fabulous prizes! Join the Covenant House family
for a fun day and help make an immediate difference in
the lives of homeless kids.

The Jack Acker-Brian Purcell
Memorial Second Chance Open
The Acker and Purcell families extend
an enthusiastic invitation for you to join many others
at this important event, in which all proceeds are donated
to Covenant House New Jersey. Join the Acker’s
and Purcell’s
as they “hack” their way around the course
at the Forest Hill Golf Club in Bloomfield, New Jersey. Bring
your family and friends to the dinner that follows the
tournament too! Celebrate and be part of this wonderful
tradition as we remember two great gentlemen—Jack
Acker and Brian Purcell. Private and corporate sponsorships

further details. Registration and lunch begin at
10:30 a.m. and shot-gun tee off is at 12:30 p.m. The
day’s events end with a cocktail party, dinner and
silent auction.
