To the Newark Crisis Center (330 Washington St., Newark, NJ):

From the NJ Turnpike

1. NJ Turnpike to Exit 14.
2. After the toll, follow sign for Route 21 into Newark
3. Route 21 (North) will lead into Newark.
4. Follow signs to Broad Street
5. Go down Broad Street approximately 8 traffic lights until you see Hill Street.
6. On Hill Street make a left until you arrive at Washington Street.
7. On Washington Street make a right.
8. One block later, turn right onto a small side street (Pearle St.) between a black-fenced parking lot and the main entrance to our facility.

From Interstate 78 East

1. Get off at Exit 56 - Clinton Avenue.
2. Stay straight to go on to Hillside Ave.
3. Turn right on to Clinton Avenue.
4. Follow Clinton Avenue to Lincoln Park. Bare Left onto Washington St.
5. Go down Washington St. until you cross Court Street.
6. Approx. 1.5 blocks up you'll see Covenant House New Jersey to your right.
7. Turn right onto a small side street (Pearle Street) between a black-fenced parking lot and the main entrance to our facility.

From Interstate 78 West

1. Get off at Exit 56 - Hillside Avenue.
2. Follow Directions from Interstate 78 East above.

From Garden State Pkwy (From the South)

1. Get off at exit 142. Follow to 78 East.
2. Follow directions from Interstate 78 above.

From Route 280 East

1. After passing the NJ Parkway signs, look for signs for "Newark Exits."
2. Stay to the right and follow signs to Harrison/NJ Turnpike.
3. Take Newark Exit 14 and follow signs that says 'Rutgers University, NJIT, Essex County College, Martin Luther King Boulevard."
4. At bottom of the ramp at traffic light, make a right turn onto Martin Luther King Boulevard.
5. At next light, make a left onto Orange Street (you will see a yellow sign in front of you that says "210 Flats Fixed.")
6. At next light, make a right onto University.
7. Go through 7 lights (you will pass the Newark Museum on your left, Rutgers University)
8. At 8th light, make a left onto Court Street.
9. Go down the hill about 2 blocks to Washington Street.
10. Make a left turn onto Washington St. and stay to your right. Go 1.5 blocks until you see our facility on your right side (rust color building with logo on top)
11. Before building, make a right turn onto a small side street (Pearle St.) that runs in front of the main entrance to our building

PATH Train from New York

1. From the 33rd St. Path train in Manhattan, Take the Path train into Journal Square, NJ. Switch over at Journal Square across the platform to the Newark Penn Station Path Train. Follow directions from Newark Penn Station.

From Penn Station

1. Go out of the Market St. Exit.
2. Take the #34 (Market St.), or #31 (South Orange Ave.) Bus (or any other bus that goes up Market St.) up to the corner of Market St. and Washington St. (approximately 4 stops from Penn Station).
3. Get off on the corner of Washington St. and Market St.
4. Make a left (Toward the MBNA building) and walk up Washington St. (approximately 21/2 blocks) until you see our building (rust color building with logo on top) to your left.
5. The Main entrance is located on the side of the building on Pearl St.

From Bloomfield Avenue

1. Take Bloomfield Avenue down towards Newark.
2. Bloomfield Avenue will end and become Broad Street.
3. Keep going South on Broad Street for about 2 miles.
4. You will pass NJPAC, Military Park, Broad & Market, and City Hall.
5. At the corner of City Hall, there is a street by the name of Hill Street.
6. Make a right on to Hill Street. Go down about 2 blocks until you come to an intersection. That will be Washington Street in front of you.
7. Make a right on to Washington Street (It's a One-way street).
8. Go down 11/2 blocks until you see our building to your right.
9. Make a right turn on to Pearl Street (a small side street between our parking lot and the main entrance to our facility).

PARKING:

Parking is available in across from our main entrance (on Pearle St.). If you cannot find parking in our lot, then there is a public parking lot on Washington Street. This parking lot is watched by an attendant and costs $3.00 for all day parking. It is located approximately 2 blocks past our building on the right side of Washington Street.p

To Raphael’s Life House (231 Court St., Elizabeth, NJ):

From Route 1

1. Follow the signs for North Avenue East/Elizabeth Seaport.
2. Follow signs for Jersey Gardens Blvd.
3. Once you’re on Jersey Gardens Blvd., look for Veterans Memorial Drive. You will see it as you pass the Marriott Residence Hotels on your left. Get into the right lane.
4. Make a right on Veterans Memorial Drive and go over the bridge.
5. At the bottom of the bridge is a light for Trumball Street. You will be on Third Avenue.
6. Go through Trumball Street, past the BP Gas Station on your right to Magnolia Avenue (there’s a light on the corner).
7. At the street right after Magnolia, make a left. That is Court Street, but there’s no sign.
8. Raphael’s Life House will be on your left one block ahead.

From NJ Turnpike

1. Take the NJ Turnpike to Exit 13A
2. Merge onto North Avenue East/Elizabeth Seaport Ramp towards the Elizabeth Seaport.
3. Once you’re on Jersey Gardens Blvd., look for Veterans Memorial Drive.
4. You will see it as you pass the Marriott Residence Hotels on your left. Get into the right lane.
5. Make a right on Veterans Memorial Drive and go over the bridge.
6. At the bottom of the bridge is a light for Trumball Street.
7. You will be on Third Avenue. Go through Trumball Street, past the BP Gas Station on your right to Magnolia Avenue (there’s a light on the corner).
8. At the street right after Magnolia, make a left.
9. That is Court Street, but there’s no sign. Raphael’s Life House will be on your left one block ahead.

From Route 78

1.Take Route 78 to the NJ Turnpike South
   2. Follow directions from NJ Turnpike.

To Newark Rights of Passage (49 Hanford Street, Newark, NJ):

From the Newark Crisis Center

1. Turn right on to Halsey Street
2. Turn left on Hill Street
3. Turn right on Broad Street. Take Broad Street almost to the end and make a right on Poinier Street.
4. Go two blocks, and make a left on Frelinghuysen Avenue.
5. Take Frelinghuysen Avenue for almost two miles, past the post office and Seth Boyden Housing Projects.
6. Make a right at the traffic light on Evergreen Street. US Fried Chicken is on the corner.
7. Go two blocks. The ROP house is a blue house on the corner of Evergreen Street and Hanford Street.

To Atlantic City Crisis Center (929 Atlantic Ave, Atlantic City, NJ):

From the Garden State Parkway

1. From North Jersey, take the Garden State Parkway South to Exit 38, Atlantic City Expressway East.
2. Go to the end of the Atlantic City Expressway until you see Atlantic Avenue.
3. Make a left on to Atlantic Avenue until you see Covenant House New Jersey on your left (across the street from Bank of America - before Showboat Casino).
