"Do 1 Thing" | ...a nationwide event that will take place on February 14, 2009. Inspired by renowned photojournalist Najlah Feanny Hicks, this event encourages everyone to Do 1 Thing, whether big or small, to support teenagers who are homeless and trying to stay off the streets. Covenant House New Jersey, the largest provider of services to homeless youth in the State, will be hosting an Open House from 10am-2pm in Newark to give you an opportunity to meet us, see what we do, and Do 1 Thing for our kids.
We have identified over 125 things you can do in NJ to share your love with homeless teenagers on Valentine's Day this year. To name just a few - you can collect toiletries for our youth, host a sock hop (sock collection), make CHNJ your cause on Facebook or MySpace, or donate money in honor of a friend of family member.
