Prior to joining CHNJ, Jill was an attorney, providing legal counsel and technical assistance to non-profit housing developers in Newark. Jill also co-founded and led Newark Do Something, an organization designed to inspire, train and organize the city's young people to bring about community change in their neighborhoods. This program remains the model for the parent Do Something organization's efforts in schools and communities throughout the country.
Jill lives in Roselle Park, NJ with her husband and two children.
Mary MacDonald
Associate Executive Director
Mary MacDonald has a BA in Business from the Richard Stockton College of NJ, and she has begun studies toward a Masters degree at Rutgers University. Mary came to us with 11 years of management experience in the Casino/Hotel industry, and has worked at Covenant House for 16 years.
Brian Nelson
Site Director, AC
Active within the community, Brian Nelson serves on several committees and was appointed by Governor Jon Corzine to serve as a member of the New Jersey Task Force on Child Abuse and Neglect, as well as appointments by County Executive Dennis Levinson to serve on both the Human Services Advisory Council, and Continuum of Care Committee. He has 15 years of experience working with homeless and disadvantaged youth throughout New Jersey. Brian serves as a member of Covenant Houses' statewide Executive Team, where he works in consort with other leaders to participate in planning and organizational initiatives for the agency. He has an undergraduate degree in Psychology, and is pursuing a Master's of Business Degree with a specialization in Project Management and anticipates completion in 2010.
David Hall
Site Director, NWK
Dave started his career in Virginia working with youth directly after graduating Hampton University in 1987 with a B.S. in Business Management. His passion for helping youth led him home to New Jersey where he worked for various social service agencies serving "at risk" youth. While at Covenant House Dave has worked in various positions within the organization and is currently the Site Director in Newark. This position affords him the opportunity to serve on the Executive Team and play a major role along with other key stake holders in carrying out the vision and mission of the organization. Dave also is extremely involved in his community. He is member of the local Branch of the NAACP as well as a Grand Officer in the B.P.O.R. and in his spare time he coaches youth sports.

A Graduate of Rutgers University with a Master's Degree in Social Work, Roz has 15 years of experience working with homeless and at-risk youth.
Meghan Leigh
Associate Site Director, NWK
Meghan is a graduate of Columbia University School of Social Work with a Masters of Science in Social Work. She is a Licensed Social Worker in the State of New Jersey. Meghan has worked with Covenant House since 2000.
